You turned me on to keto. I've never looked back.
By: Ted Davidson
My biggest problem is my family history, both of my parents had bypass surgery at some point. My father eventually died of a heart attack. I am 5'7'' tall. 2 years ago, I weighed 218 pounds and my blood pressure was coming in at 145-155 / 90. This in spite of a very athletic lifestyle that included kickboxing and long-distance bicycling. I somehow found your channel and started following your advice. In 2 months, I was down to 190 pounds but more importantly my BP had dropped to 122 / 78 consistently. At this point I added 16 / 8 intermittent fasting and stayed low carb but not strictly keto. 6 months later I had blood work at my Dr's and my LDL had dropped 20%. I went for a precautionary stress test and aced it. Then COVID hit. I did nothing and drank too much alcohol for a while (my business, event production has been shut down since the beginning and depression was winning the battle). By December, I was back up to 203 pounds. I went back on Keto / IF and dropped back down, this time to 187 pounds. My BP is still optimal. Most importantly you changed my outlook. I have read books by Dr. Jason Fung and others to round out my knowledge and it's become my lifestyle. You may very well have saved my life 2 years ago. Thanks Dr Berg.
