My husband and I have been together for 15 years. We met 2 semi skinny-ish people and remained that way for about the 1st 7 years, We got married, settled into life, and thus got a little too comfortable and definitely were not watching what we were eating. My husband's son got married in 2018 which sparked a change in both of us and we found Dr. Berg and the keto lifestyle. We were very militant in our actions when we started allowing no cheat days and neither of us was doing a lot of exercises. Within 6 months, he dropped 50 lbs and I dropped 30. Now, 3 years later, he has dropped 70 lbs and I have dropped 50. I work out 5 days a week using weight training and HIIT. Through dropping weight we have found ourselves and have more of a zest for life that we definitely didn’t have beforehand. Even finding before pictures was a struggle because I was just so ashamed of how I looked in photos. We were literally trapped inside our own bodies for those few years and it feels so good to be free. We love cooking our keto meals and I really like baking keto treats because I still have a sweet tooth. I hope that anyone reading this knows that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You don’t have to be a slave to food, they literally engineered it to be addictive to you. This is the only thing I have tried and have gotten results. I don’t like to call it a diet because it is a lifestyle change but if you follow the process you will see fantastic results. Don’t let your missteps discourage you and all your progress, tomorrow is a new day and you just start fresh and put your best foot forward. I hope someone struggling with their relationship with food can read this and gain some insight. We are both rooting for you to have all the success! You can do it, but no one is going to save you from yourself, do the work and you will see results ♥️
