I was thin most of my life. When I turned 31, I got a divorce and life took a bit of a turn for me. I used to go to the gym 5 days a week and I watched what I ate. After the divorce, I continued to go to the gym but then I had a shoulder injury that stopped me from exercising. I am not sure what happened after that. I gained weight very slowly so it wasn't very noticeable. Also because I stopped going to the gym I stopped weighing myself so I didn't realize how much weight I gained. I always hovered around 130-135 and I got to 174. When I saw that number I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. I knew something had to change. I heard of keto through some coworkers who were successful with it and I reached out to a keto coach for some knowledge.

After that, I began doing my own research and that's that's I found Dr. Berg. I watched every video. Every morning while I drank my morning coffee, I would watch videos and make notes and educate myself. I started calculating my macros and then I started intermittent fasting. I started keto May 31st 2018 at 174 pounds and by December 2018 I was at 127! Not only did I lose weight but I felt amazing and I reversed my GERD. Last year in May 2020, I had a baby. I stayed keto for the majority of it and I felt great. 15 months later with keto and intermittent fasting, I am only 4 pound away from my pre-pregnancy weight!
