Weight loss was almost impossible

Already as a teenager I had to watch my weight. Skipping a few lunches would take my weight back down. After my children, I got Hashimotos. Now it got harder to keep my weight from going UP. There’s diabetes in my family, which I have avoided this far. I am 64 years old. Even with strict low carb dieting it’s been a struggle. I took a break from my low carb life and started to gain weight. I kept gaining, with a record high weight in the summer of 2020 - when I heard Dr. Berg explain insulin and intermittent fasting on his YouTube channel. After 1 year of intermittent fasting 11.00 - 20.00 and no weight loss I started on 14.30 - 19.00 and lost almost 30 lbs from nov20 - feb21 at which point I was afraid I was sick. I started eating between meals, the weight loss stopped and I gained 4 lbs. Back on 14.30 - 19.00 I started losing weight again and now I am a couple of pounds from my goal (which is my weight 10 years ago after losing 24 lbs over 2 years on a very strict low carb diet). Also, eating not-low carb food does not seem to affect the weight loss very much. I only wish I had understood the effect of intermittent fasting earlier. It’s amazing to have control over my weight. Thank you, Dr. Berg! You’re so good at this.
