Weight Loss, Improved health
By: Mark Storey
I have lost 30 pounds on the Keto diet and have kept it off for almost 2 years. My health, vitality, and energy have improved considerably as a result. My chronic inflammation is no longer an issue, but my biggest surprise is the disappearance of my brain fog. I had no idea how bad it was until it was gone. I am still astonished at how clear my head feels!
I started the Keto diet with intermittent back in September of 2019. I weighed between 190-195 lbs. My goal was to reduce my weight to 170 lbs. In December, my scale broke and I stopped keeping track of my weight. I still had not reached my target weight at that time.
By March, I noticed that my pants were fitting very loosely on me, so I bought another scale and weighed myself. To my surprise, I had surpassed my goal of 170 lbs! I weighed in at 160 lbs! I skip breakfast and maintain an eating window approximately from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. Sometimes I forget to each lunch because I am just not hungry. Apparently, my blood sugar levels do not fluctuate very much during the day. Many people have remarked that I look many years younger now! (I am 65 now).
My only disappointment is that I haven't been able to get totally off my hypertensive meds. So far I have only been able to reduce my meds by half. However, I am hopeful that I will eventually be completely off them.
