Stop Cancer in its Tracks!
By: Jackie Parmly
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, in 2020. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy. I was not interested in trying to fight it off with chemo or drugs, so I opted to just remove the affected parts since that was possible. I've been keto/low carb since 2007 and was introduced to the low carb way of eating through an Atkins book I found in the library. I lost weight, felt good. Although it didn't prevent my cancer I honestly feel like it saved my life, and this is why. When I went for my mammogram in 2019, they saw a problem but somehow my information got lost and no one called me back for the results. I didn't think much of it, just figured I was good to go. In 2020 when I went for my mammogram again, that is when they said "Why didn't you return!? We saw this spot on your milk duct a year ago!" Well, of course, I was angry... and scared, but the cancer never got any bigger... it was the same as it was a year earlier. I truly believe that limiting my carbs and not eating sugar kept the cancer from growing.
