Reversing Type 2 diabetes within 3 months

Images Story

By: RAJA IZHAR AZUAN BIN RAJA IZAM

I'm Raja, 36 years old from Malaysia. I discovered the Keto diet mainly after confirmed my T2D on 3rd May 2021. HBA1c 13.2% and glucose level 23.9 mmol/L. The whole month I'm looking for some answers. The right answers. By looking both at my parents, insulins clearly do not work. They are on insulin for more than 10 years. This is my first clue to do my own "research" & study. During this time, I never heard of any specific diet and intermittent fasting. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. High carb of course. While looking for info on how the body works, Dr. Berg's videos appear at the top. So the more I watched, the more addicted I am. Early June 2021, I jump straight into 16:8 and keto. 2nd day, 18:6.3rd day 20:4. 4th-day OMAD. No problem at all. I can only assume because I'm reducing my sugar & carb intake the whole of May and the benefits of Ramadhan (Dry Fasting). I start to lose weight significantly, I can do certain exercises, my sleeping pattern improving and my inflammation at my ankles was also gone completely. For 10 years, I'm living with this ankle pain since I broke my 2 tendons. Even at rest not put any pressure on it. I'm falling in love with this keto+IF. I vary my length of fasting every day, even manage to do 72 hours and 120 hours in July. My only focus at that time is to improve my insulin resistance and reversing T2D without medications. Exercise plays a role a little bit. I do jumping rope and HIIT to boost my fat-burning hormones and increase my fitness level. I feel fresh every day than before I was moody, grouchy, and tired every time. I wish I know keto+IF sooner so I can help myself, my parents, and the people around me. Keto is the best diet for reversing metabolic syndrome. The common diseases are related to insulin resistance. Moving forward, early August, the doctor confirmed I successfully reversed my T2D. HBA1C 6.0%, glucose level 3.3mmol/L. No hypo though. My eGFR 79 ( 60 or more - normal), SGPT/ALT : <8 ( 0 - 41). Overall, my health is getting better. My advice is, just do it. No second thoughts. Keto is a lifestyle and we all can stick to it without problems. Thank you Dr Berg and the whole team!
