overcoming type 2 diabetes
By: lee France
My name is Lee France, I am 58 yrs old and live in the west midlands, england. I have been suffering from type 2 diabetes since early 2000 about the same time I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I am taking assorted tablets to manage my diabetes. In late 2020, while at home recovering from a major multiple sclerosis relapse, I started reading up about my diabetes symptoms, this galvanised me into doing something about it.. My diet had been poor for a number of years which was gone a long to put me in the position I put myself into.
From July to December 2020, I have lost 5 stones in weight after watching your YouTube videos and others, following your programs of activities intermittent fasting for approx 18hrs per day and living to a crude form of keto. I was stunned to see that by losing the excess weight and cutting out most carbohydrate containing foods, adding only 50-70grams per day with my meals, now I have lost the weight and feel much healthier and can see it as helped with my ongoing multiple sclerosis recovery. I have maintained a good weight control just by cutting back on the carbs. I now walk 1 to 2 miles per day with the aid of a walking stick and hope to be walking without aids within the next 12 months. I hope to be taking part in daily exercise soon and have just an exercise machine installed at my home to help take me to the next level on this journey. My advice to anyone starting keto is that rest is vital, watch what you eat, and exercise in any possible form, walking works for me.
