My triumph over Fatty Liver Disease

Hello, my name is Mysti and I am 48 years old. I was diagnosed with prediabetes at age 40. I started the Ketogenic diet at age 41 because my daughter had seizures and the medications were worse than the seizures. I had studied up on the Keto diet and realized the health benefits of it. One year later I was no longer prediabetic. I also had chronic endometriosis which led to a hysterectomy at age 43, and the Dr. left one ovary. The following year I was still having extreme lower abdominal pain and I had more testing done. It turned out that I had Non-alcoholic Fatty liver disease. The doctor had no recommendation and no answer as to why I had it. I do not drink alcohol hardly ever (maybe once a year). It turned out that since the doctor left my one ovary, it was creating endometriosis all over my entire abdomen. Therefore it was removed and I started on replacement hormones 5 months later. I continued with the Keto lifestyle, and started gaining weight. I put on about 10 pounds a year. I went from 130 to 170 in four years, while on Keto. I must also add that I was very perplexed and I got very strict with the macros, quality of foods, etc. About a year ago I started having severe reflux and GERD, and aspirating during my sleep. I knew that antiacids were not good. I tried Apple cider vinegar, etc., but it was just getting worse. I could not do intermittent fasting any longer as that was when my acid stomach was the worst. I tried taking HCL but it didn't help. I had followed Dr Berg for a couple of years, but for different things. Then I saw something about his book and I bought it and read it. I also watched several of his Fatty Liver videos. EYE OPENER. It turns out that I have (obviously) the Fatty liver body type, plus the replacement hormones weren't helping me at all. I started following the recommendation for the Fatty Liver body type, eating at least 7 cups of cruciferous veggies a day (love the green smoothie, I never miss a day), getting enough sleep (11 pm - 6 am), I only eat organic/hormone-free/free-range/grass-fed protein, and mostly wild-caught fish. I stopped taking the hormones, and I started taking Dr Berg's Nutritional Yeast, Gallbladder Formula, Estrogen Supplements, the Vitamin K and his sleep aids. I also stopped drinking coffee regularly (once in a blue moon when I treat myself). I FEEL AMAZING! I've now lost all the weight that I put on and more. I no longer feel that bloating/fullness around my upper abdomen, the acid reflux, Gerd, and no more aspirating. I have more energy than ever in my life since I was a kid. I sleep great, and the only menopausal symptoms I have are the mild hot flashes a couple of times a day, but they are so quick and mild that I'm hardly bothered by them. I am so grateful for the plethora of knowledge that I have taken from Dr Berg. I tell everyone I know about his book and his videos. My husband, my sister, my best friend, and so many more people I have shared with have jumped on the bandwagon and are riding this journey of health with me. Thank you Dr Berg!
