My IF weight loss journey

I started IF back in 2021 when I reached my highest weight of 240, and my highest a1c of 8.2. I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 40 years, and at age 71, I was skeptical.
I did a program for 3 months that increases IF every month...3 days for the first month, 4 days for the second month, and 5 days for the third month. My weight dropped dramatically, but when the three months were over there was no real maintenance plan. I reached 180 and felt good, but with no follow-up plan, I floundered. My weight went up and down. My eating plan was no plan at all. I binged through Thanksgiving and Christmas, and in January of 2022, I was back up to 189 and needed to go back on IF to get down.
Now in March, after doing IF and mostly keto, I have weighed in at 166. I feel good, am walking more, working with a trainer, and am at my lowest weight since high school. It is truly possible for someone over 70 to do this and be successful. For me, the helps of people like Dr. Berg and Gin Stephens have been of great value. To all who are struggling, keep at it. IT WORKS!
