My energy is up, my memory is improving, my skin is soo much clearer now, and I no longer have morning/mid afternoon brain fog like I use to.

Hi Dr Berg. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my story with you. My name is Johnny, I live in Sydney Australia, and I just started intermittent fasting & keto exactly two weeks ago, on the 1st of October. Before making the switch, I was heavily obese, and was considered a sugarholic, a carboholic, and a junkaholic with many health problems due to this. My favorite snack back then was in the middle of the night when I use to consume about 3 or 4 packs of sour lollies, then I'd go to bed after that. Now, I do not snack at all! I was always told that eating several times a day had great benefits, so I was having 3 meals per day with 3 snacks in between meals, and I use to wake up thinking I should feed my body straight away, even though I was rarely hungry. Crazy right? After deciding a few months ago that the 1st of October would be the day that I kickstart my health journey (again), I told myself that this is it. This time I WILL DO IT NO MATTER WHAT! So I did. The very first thing I did was cut out all sugars and refined carbohydrates from my diet. Then I decided that I had to go on YouTube each day and watch atleast 10 videos per day about IF & keto, so that I had an idea of what I was getting myself in to, and so that I could learn from other people's successes and their mistakes, so I did, and I learned so much just by following your channel, and a few other amazing people on YouTube. So now I only do one meal a day (OMAD) and I LOVE how I feel living this way. My starting weight was 321.8 lbs. I am 185 cm's tall (6.1 ft), and I am 35 years young. The only thing that I consume during my fasted state is water, organic apple cider vinegar, a pinch of pink himalayan salt, and a tiny bit of organic lemon juice upon waking up, I also have ACV mixed with about 8 ounces of water prior to & after each meal. It works wonders for me, and I don't mind the taste at all. I actually like it! By consuming this drink first thing in the morning, especially with a bit of pink Himalayan sea salt, I feel like I no longer get any headaches, like I did in the very beginning, which is fantastic! My current weight, as of an hour ago or so is 295.8 lbs! Yes! You read that right! In just two short weeks I have lost over 20 pounds and I feel absolutely incredible. I have saved so much money eating one meal a day, so I decided to put that saved money towards eating only high quality, organic (whenever possible), single ingredient foods, as you always recommended in your videos, and I cook all my meals at home and consume them about an hour or two before going to bed. Intermittent fasting and keto has really changed my life. Not only am I saving money and losing body fat on a daily basis; I am also seeing signs of my body improving and getting stronger. I use to have a lot of pains in my knees and my back, especially while playing or/and after playing basketball. I went and played basketball two days ago (in a fasted state) for the first time since starting this lifestyle, just to see if what I am doing is helping, and I noticed a MASSIVE difference in my performance and my recovery. Obviously losing weight will be noticeable on the outside, but on the inside I felt so much better too. It's just amazing! My energy is up, my memory is improving, my skin is soo much clearer now, and I no longer have morning/mid afternoon brain fog like I use to. Yes! Apparently my mood has gotten better as well, according to some of my coleges at work (thanks guys) lol :) One of the best things for me in regards to this new lifestyle is that I get the opportunity each day to enjoy the foods that I love such as eggs, cheeses, burgers (w/out bread or ketchup of course), and many other keto-friendly foods. Dr Berg, you and your channel has helped me so much on my journey to better health, and I will always be thankful for what you guys have done & continue to do every, single, day. Thanks for all your informative videos that you post on YouTube each week. They have helped me so much, and they inspire me each day to be the healthiest version of myself. I can't wait to reach my health goals, and by listening to your advice through your channel, I'm sure it won't be long until I get there. Will keep you guys posted as the months fly on by. Feel free to share my story if you think that it might benefit somebody out there. Thank you once again for all that you do. I appreciate you guys so much!! Kind regards, Johnny Shami
