My Cholesterol Good News

Before the pandemic began, I had watched Dr. Berg's videos and had tried keto and intermittent fasting successfully for 6 months. I had lost 20 lbs., but "fell off the bandwagon" later during 2020, when the news was stress-inducing and I just wanted "comfort food", and also at a time when one of my children was working at a bakery which specialized in delicious cupcakes! Boy, do I have a sweet tooth! Other than that, I had always tried to eat healthily, or so I thought, but lots of pasta and rice and homemade bread, and the occasional specialty coffee were obviously not good choices. I have a family history of high cholesterol, but my doctor was not pleased when last year, it was measured to be 301. I did not want to go on medication. I immediately started Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting again. I am a small person, 5'1", but my weight had gone up again. I wasn't pleased with that, but consoled myself with the thought that grandmas were supposed to be "squishy"! I have again lost and kept off the original 20 lbs., and have had to buy new clothes! I haven't started exercising formally, but work in a school, where I rarely sit! I feel fantastic! At my doctor's appointment last week, she kept telling me how proud she was of me, for my cholesterol came down 93 points, my HDL went up, my triglycerides came down by more than half, as did my CRP! Fewer aches and pains-that explains it-Yay! She then went on to ask if she could white out my personal information and use my results to encourage other patients in her practice! I'm very grateful for all of your information, Dr. Berg!
