My 2 Year Journey
By: Mark Morton
I am 53 years old and have been overweight for half of my life. From around 25 years old to 50 I weighed anywhere from 275 to 350lbs. During those years I lost over 400 lbs. These were 4 different times losing the same 100lbs. Eventually gaining it all back and then some more. A pretty common story. With every diet attempt, I was more and more convinced that my body was just meant to be big. My inability to control my appetite was due to my lack of self-control. After the last diet attempt, I gave up. In 2019 my son came back from college. He said college wasn’t for him and he was going to join the military. He was 80lbs over the required weight. So we decided to get healthy and start the Atkins diet. Yup. The last 3 of my diet attempts I used some version of Atkins. Seemed to do the trick for weight loss. “I just needed to be more disciplined”. Only this time there was another element added into the mix. YouTube. While I was looking for more info on low carb diets I came across your channel. Total game changer. Really. I poured through your channel. Things started making sense. I think that was the key for me. So many comments you made in your videos hit home with where I was with my beliefs, routines and habits. I ventured and found a few more to go with your channel and my life change. Dr Mindy Pelz – ALSO AMAZING. A great addition for Fasting information. Specializing with women and fasting. Thomas DeLauer - Keto, Fasting Ted Naiman – All about insulin resistance and macros. Great stuff. AthleanX – All about Exercise. Jordan Peterson – Amazing insight and perspective on life. So with the above tools in hand I lost 125lbs from Feb 2019 to July 2019. During that time I was straight up soaking in any information I could find on Keto, Fasting and exercise. Body, Mind and Spirit. With your guidance and Dr Pelz I went full on clean Keto and ran the gambit on every fasting type and length. I pasted some notes during that time:

I try to get one 3 day fast in every month, sometimes I’ll take it to a 5 day fast on occasion. I’m also spreading the word. I have an email template I send to anyone who is interested. It lists several of your beginner videos as well as your supplements. And my Daily Supplements.
