Me and Keto Diet

My name is Neora A. I am 65 y.o. And I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have high Triglycerides and was taking Atorvastatin 10mg / a day for almost 10 years. I know there are side effects for this medication, as generally what drugs do. I made of mind to stop with it. One day, I look on YouTube about the Keto Diet with Dr. Berg. I decided to try this diet. I used to eat 5-6 small meals a day, as recommended to prevent ups and downs of blood sugar ( to lose weight, at least not to gain weight ). I started the Keto Diet, two months ago. I was surprised that I lost 5 pounds easily. Moreover, I felt better, more energetic, the dark spots were less prominent on my face and body. Even my toenail started to recover faster and became brighter. That is so cool!! I continue to watch Dr. Berg’s videos and realize that my liver, I guess, is working because I see results. My sleep is better, I was not afraid to discontinue my med. I started with 3 meals a day, then moved to two meals a day. Fasting at least 14-16 hours, and between meals around 6-7 hours. I was so surprised that I am not hungry after Dr. Berg mentioned it on TV. He just encouraged me!! I do not exercise even ( I used to when I was younger ). I tried to start to do light exercises, but I stopped because I felt pain in my back. I should try again. In the beginning, I ate a lot of vegetables ( as I usually do, but not this amount ). I even started with Kale ( which I did not like ), and other Sulfur veggies. Then I started to feel bad about it. I guess, I overwhelmed my body. I decided to eat less and from time to time to eat it. It helped. I even cooked it a beat and eat it with eggs. I had cramps with my leg muscles, even though I take Magnesium every day besides my general vitamins. I watched some videos of Dr. Berg, I realized that I might need to eat more leaves in my salad to get more minerals. I thought, also, I might have SIBO, because I felt bloated, and I suffer from constipation, too. So, I might need to get some of the mineral powder from Dr. Berg. Anyway, I stopped my probiotics, I think it helped. I am trying to listen more closely to my body. I offer everybody to do so because only you know best how your body reacts. Before any change you do, let your body get used to it first, then decide if it needs a change!
