Keto works but not easy for vegetarians!

Story

By: Amrit

I never believed in any diets. Started having health issues and gaining weight after 50, not a huge amount though. Became pre-diabetic and many other issues. I live in a remote area so don't have a good access to health care. Reached a point where I needed to do something. After a lot of research gave Keto a try. I am vegetarian so it wasn't easy as I didn't have many food choices. Also, I didn't have access to shopping so basically was relying on online shopping. Lost 13-14 kgs in 6-7 months. Weight loss was gradual. I used to be a carb addict but the cravings dropped very quickly. All the body readings became normal very fast. Felt so light and healthy. Did waste a lot of money on keto things such as alternative snacks, etc. NO need. The body doesn't ask for snacks. You do need extra Potassium and other salts to deal with leg cramps. etc. Got off the wagon due to traveling, etc. and couldn't get back on mainly due to limited food choices. Have become intolerant to milk products and eggs. Have gained back most of the weight but body readings are okay so far. Only avoiding simple carbs/sugars. Keto is probably much easier for non-vegetarians.
