Keto lifestyle makes me feel stronger and better now
By: Brandon W
Ever since he was a child, Brandon Wootton had bad habits of surrounding food. He’d always been overweight and it was when he started having kids of his own that he realized he couldn’t continue down this path. “I overate all the time and as I got older, I got bigger,” Wootton explains. “If I kept doing what I was doing, I would probably be dead at 50 y.o.” Before keto, Wootton would nap all the time and wouldn’t want to see his friends. He felt old, sick, and tired. Plus, wanting to be a healthier role model for his children was Wootton’s initial motivation. Wootton got into Dr. Berg’s videos after seeing them on Facebook and learned everything he needed to know about keto and intermittent fasting. He began his keto journey in February and feels stronger and better every week. For Wootton, it was tough to completely change his diet and force himself to exercise, but seeing the constant weight loss was a huge motivator. “The weight just fell off!” exclaims Wootton. “How I felt mentally [also encouraged me not to give up].” After losing 101 pounds (46 kg), Wootton feels like a whole new man, brimming with happiness and confidence. “I feel like a machine!” he says. “I sleep like a baby at night and have so much energy that I can’t believe it!” When asked what he’d tell someone reading his story who’s thinking about keto, Wootton had this to say: “Get on track, don’t make excuses, eat right, exercise. Start and you will have amazing results. It’s that simple,” says Wootton. “No pill or diet will help you. It’s a lifestyle that you are solely responsible to take control of. Be the best version of yourself and live your best life.” Favorite Way to Exercise: Jogging 5 km three times a week, 100 pushups a day Monday through Friday, and doing stairs. Favorite Keto Recipe: Brussel sprouts bacon.
