"Hello Dr. Berg, My name is Cody. I've struggled with weight ever since I was 10 years old. I grew up with a single mom that did everything in her power to make sure we were fed well. She cooked southern style. Everything fried! Extra helpings and finish your plate. Lots of late night snacks. As Im now 30 I look back and see how that started my long journey of learning to eat correct. I didn't look at food as nutrients for my body but as something to make me happy as a grew into a teenager the only thing that would make me happy was Domino's Pizza and cheese bread! I (was) addicted up until Jan 1st of 2020. I had tried everything from vegan, cut calories, low fat, and protein. Tried 48-hour fasting refeed but could not stick to it. I have been watching your videos and other low card advocates for about 2 years now. On Jan 1st I decided to give the Carnivore month a try. Burger patties, steak, pork chops, seafood, and any other animal product. What's not to love? I figured if I was going to have success limiting my variety would be a good place to start. As the first week went by the craving and headaches were terrible but I've seen your videos on keto flu and getting the correct minerals so I went out and got a electrolyte supplement. All was well and since I was in ketosis and my mineral needs were being met the fat started to fall off. I've started viewing my food as fuel instead of pleasure and my life has changed. Very interesting how once you have control over your emotions with food how much more control you have over them with everyday life. I have not done blood work but my pants went from a 40-42 now down to 34-36. I've had zero carbs since Jan 1st and it was the best decision I've made for my health in my whole life. As I lost all this weight without working out a single time I have started doing body workouts as of today to get the body I've always dreamed of. My highest weight was in my early 20s around 285 but my set point seemed to be 245. I weighed in at 245 on Jan 1st and today weigh 192. Some pictures attached.
