I.F. Is Worth the Weight!
By: Nathan
My name is Nathan and I am a 28 year old who's more living proof that Intermittent Fasting works. In April '19 I lost my father, and for the following 11 months I coped as many would, by eating. I'm 5'7 with an ideal weight of about 145lbs, and I was just over 220 come March '20. It was then that I heard about IF from a friend and started doing some research. I found a lot of great YouTube channels that taught me much about it, but none more than Dr. Berg's. I loved his videos, his way of delivering information and how well he ties everything back to fasting. What intrigued me the most was how, along with weight loss (probably most people's reason for starting), he taught me everything else that happens in the the body when you fast. I started aggressively (which is not recommended for most) with a 3 day water fast, then after that I painstakingly stuck with one meal a day (OMAD). Pro tip: if you wish to do OMAD, make your one meal dinner. It can be hard to get to sleep when hungry. Since first finding Dr. Berg I have watched every single one of his videos, and have even gotten friends and my own mother to start IF, always directing everyone to follow his channel. It took me about one year, but here I am now down to 150! It's hard, there's no way around that. I love eating as much as you do, if not more. Results speak louder than anything, and I have nothing but results. Please try it. It has been over a decade since I've felt comfortable taking my shirt off. Dr. Berg, I didn't think someone on YouTube could change my life but, alas, you did. That may sound a little cliché but it's true nonetheless. Thank you! I unfortunately don't have a "before" picture, but below is a recent one of me at the healthiest I've ever been. I get compliments nearly everyday....it's still hard to believe I made this happen. No one asked me to do this. Beyond my own weight loss, I now have a skill that I'll keep for the rest of my life to maintain this health. Remember, weight loss is just one of the seemingly countless benefits, the healing is unprecedented. Fasting may be slow, but it's definitely worth the weight!
