I dropped down to 169#s! The lowest I had weighed in my entire adult life.

When I was 17, I was a skinny/fat 176#s. My idea of recreation was sitting in front to the TV with a glass of milk and a bag of Oreo cookies. In collage, I got into swimming, a habit that I continued for years. I studied physical fitness and later worked on my masters in wellness. And as the years passed I gradually began to gain weight till I reached a weight of 216#s. At that point I started doing what I had been taught in school, eating 6 small low fat meals a day and long endurance exercise. This began a cycle of yo yo dieting, weight loss, and weight gain. I would go from, 215 back down to 190, then stall, then back to 215, then... The pic of me at age 45, I weighed 190#s. But eventually even though I continued to exercise, my weight soared up to 226 #s @ age 59.Mainly due to low fat, high sugar eating. You just can't out work your diet. It was time to change.I had never been so heavy, and out of shape in my life. I started with a paleo type of diet, transitioned to low carb healthy fat, to keto and that got me down from 226#s to180#s. And even though that was lighter than I had ever been since high school, I had stalled and was still carrying too much bellyful. Enter Intermitant fasting.! I dropped down to 169#s! The lowest I had weighed in my entire adult life. This process took about a year which included a stall that lasted a couple of months. Since the after pic, I continued my exercise, (weight training) and did carnavore for 2 weeks, which seemed to put on some muscle, and now have continued on my keto/I.F. journey. I will turn 61 in a few weeks and have maintained my weight at 176#s.
