Hypothyroidism Hell.

I just wanted to write a little something about my thyroid experience to possibly help someone else suffering, and of course to thank Dr. Berg!! He has helped tremendously in multiple aspects of my health, happiness, weightloss, & overall well-being. I am just going to focus on one particular right now... my thyroid. I was having horrendous anxiety, hair loss, depression, fatigue/extreme tiredness, muscle pain, eye problems, & sooo many other horrible symtoms. Not to mention the weight gain & the impossibility to lose it NO MATTER WHAT I did. The doctors kept writing me off (I felt) & prescribing whatever. Finally I ended up in the E.R. where they ran blood tests and the TSH test came back over 20. I had hypoththroidism. So my regular doc started me on Synthroid with regular TSH monitoring with blood tests. My TSH was always too high and the Synthroid dose kept increasing & increasing. Overtime the symptoms did very slightly improve, but I was still suffering greatly & weightloss was completely stagnant no matter what I did. THEN Dr. Berg came to the rescue with all his wonderful YouTube videos♡. He made health, science, & how the body works easy to understand & did it in such a short "to the point" kind of way (that I absolutely love). To keep a long story relatively short, I realized my body was not converting the T4 into T3 (the Synthroid doesn't do that btw... it just focuses on the T4). The source of my Hypothyroidism was probably due to having my Gallbladder removed 12 years prior when I was 25 (which I wish I wouldn't have allowed, but I was young, alone, in pain, & the Dr.'s assured me the Gallbladder wasn't necessary to my health or well-being in any way and basically I just didn't need it). So after following Dr. Berg's advice, recommendations, & sticking with it; for the first time in a very long time I can say I am feeling like myself again!! My TSH is the closest to "normal" as it has ever been.... my test last month was 4.4 (still tryin for under 3, but getting there:)). I am eating & following a clean keto lifestyle, losing weight/fat, and my anxiety, depression, & fatigue greatly decreased.... along with ALL my other symptoms! ♡So... THANK YOU DR. BERG!♡ I have been given my life back, & I will continue to improve & learn from your videos. I intermittent fast, follow a clean keto lifestyle, & take high quality supplements & vitamins that my body needs. (btw Dr. Berg has alot of great products to check out if you're not sure where to start or where to get the best/high quality.) Thanks for all you do & sharing all your amazing TRUTHFUL knowledge (that the mainstream does not know and/or wants to keep hidden from us) with the rest of us! ~MaryJ
