Getting fit at 53 even with menopause!

Hi Dr. Berg,

I just want to thank you so very much for all the knowledge you share with us. I am 53 years old, I started peri-menopause with terrible pains all over, joints, headaches, terrible bleeding (sometimes 75 days non stop) I got anemia, no energy at all, insomnia, terrible moods, sadness, anger, all the emotions at once. I also had fibroids and a very thick uterus lining that cause me all the bleeding and terrible pains.

I started watching your videos and try the supplements you recommend, Vitamin E, D, omega 3, turmeric, collagen... etc. I was laid off twice from the oil industry so the only job I could get was cleaning houses. So I started that, and I tried fasting, at the beginning I didn't have much energy, but as the days went by, I didn't feel hungry anymore, my only meal was sometimes one smoothie, of course, full of berries, and energy powders (colostrum, greens, collagen, etc).

I lost 10 kilos and now I feel better than in my 20s!! I am 53, on my way to menopause (so far 222 days with no period), and full of energy. I work an average of 5-6hrs/day, and on the days that I don't work, I go swimming for 20-25 laps and with only 1 or 2 meals per day. Incredible how fasting can improve our health. I eat no carbs, no sugar, and lots of cruciferous vegetables, eggs, organic dairy and meat, and of course my smoothie!!
