I grew up active, surfing, soccer, track, etc. In college, I walked 7 miles a night bussing tables and ate whatever I wanted. However, at age 29 I weighed 40 pounds overweight, blew out my knee surfing, was suffering from night sweats, and was having major problems with my metabolism. I figured I was getting old and was just the way things were. I hated diets and did not like that people recommended low-fat, and white meat. I did not like veganism, because it seemed unrealistic to remove an entire food group. I started watching Dr. Berg's videos and decided to try and eat some Pork Rinds from Wholefoods. I ate the whole bag and felt like I did not want to eat for 3 days. Well after this I realized I could get off refined carbs, and started the Healthy Ketogenic Diet. I managed to do it, and it has been 2 years now...I reached my target weight of 170, got my surfing fitness back, the night sweats are gone, and I feel like it is my duty to help others and teach others the correct way of dieting and eating food in general. It is like Dr. Berg provided the key to undoing the condition so many find themselves in, the condition which is good for doctors but bad for people. A high carb diet is like eating yourself into sickness. Keto undid this for me, and it can undo it for you; with Keto, you are eating yourself into health two meals at a time.
