I was raised on the typical American diet of processed food. Hot dogs, American cheese, fruit loops, and lots of sugar! Having a very high metabolism, I was one of the lucky ones that never got fat but after 50 years of continued toxic consumption, it finally caught up to me and it was showing up in many ways including inflammation and digestive issues.

As soon as I reached my mid 50's, it was like it hit me all at once. Years of overwork, with only 4 hours a night of sleep, and living on fast food had made me endlessly fatigued with chronic pain everywhere. In retrospect, I can only assume I had extreme adrenal fatigue as I felt like I was dying. I tried going to the doctor for the digestive issues upon which after a 5mins. examination, I was prescribed Prevacid for an indefinite period. I later sought medical help for chronic back pain and after another brief exam, I was prescribed pain medication.

I was very leery of my doctors' advice since there was so little effort to seek out the root cause of my problems. There was no discussion of my eating and sleeping habits or my work conditions. I decided to do my own research and after perusing endless health sites. I ran across one of your videos on SIBO. The advice you gave in that video seemed well researched and made sense even to a lifelong junk food junkie like myself.

So I started doing intermittent fasting (18/6), I eliminated all sugar from my diet, started drinking apple cider vinegar with HCI every morning, and taking TUDCA bile salts. I also changed my diet to include at least 70% greens (no rice or potatoes). I wish I could say that I quickly sprang back to life but honestly, it was a slow recovery. In fact, it has taken over 2 years to finally feel good again. But there is no doubt in my mind that the regimen you suggested is responsible for my successful journey back to health. I think a large part of my health problems stemmed from 30 years of sleep deprivation. I never realized how much damage I was doing to myself until I saw one of your videos on the subject. It was also one of the hardest for me to correct and I believe it was also the reason for my slower recovery as it was one of the last things I got in order.

I will be turning 65 in December and will be celebrating with a healthy organic meal and a jog on the beach. If I hadn't seen your video 3 years ago I don't know if I would be seeing this birthday. Thank you Dr. Berg! You made a difference in my life. There is a lot more to my story and I would be honored to do an interview.
