A shared responsibility
By: Lia Leonardi
My name is Lia, I’m 68 and I’m Italian. In 2013, with fasting glucose of 123, I was told I was suffering from Type 2 diabetes. Following the National Health protocol, I was referred to a hospital where a diabetologist and a nutritionist explained to me I would be living with this condition all my life long and, provided I followed their suggestions, I would lead a pretty much “normal” life, with a few constraints. I followed their suggestions like a dog follows a trail, but I saw my blood pressure grow too high not to be treated, my clothes size needed to be updated every year, and every year I was given one more tablet to swallow because my condition was getting worse.
In 2019, I got fed up with being virtuous and not getting any results. Luckily, I speak English, so I turned to the Internet to find out how this condition was treated worldwide. This led me to meet three doctors on YouTube and putting together their teachings I got rid of both Type 2 diabetes and High blood pressure. These doctors: Dr. Eric Berg Dr. Stan Eckberg Dr. Jason Fung share the responsibility of my transformation to a healthy living.
In less than a couple of weeks, I didn’t have any Diabetes therapy, while it took a few months to get rid of the tablets to lower my blood pressure. After a year and a half, I’m at least 20 years younger. Got rid of excess weight and feel very very young.
I followed a clean Keto plan and fasted 36-48 hours every week. Luckily my family supported me and now they are pretty much keto too, with a few carbs here and there. My GP, who didn’t know anything about low carb diets, supported me a lot and now she’s telling everybody who wants to listen that you can reverse Type 2 diabetes for free and without feeling hungry. What a pity that nobody wants to listen.
