When I started fasting, I didn’t know how to adjust my diet; I am just starving myself. However, with your info, along with other sources, I applied a ketogenic diet, 18-22 hours fast and running. My diet also takes the glycemic index of foods; not just calories (at least 1500 kcal/day). Prior to starting my journey, I was diagnosed with RA and couldn’t work out properly. I now run 3-4 5K’s a week. I have managed to keep the weight off for 2 years now. I did find that I had an uptick of weight gain after about 70lbs without changing my regimen. I have now made some changes in my workout (CrossFit-ish and running). I have also take a break from my fasting for at least 2 days a week; maintaining 62-64lbs from my initial weight. I think I am going to make a major diet change in the next few months. I believe I can drop more pounds to be closer to my ideal body weight. Thank you for your information. It really showed me that not all eating regimens will suit everybody and that you have to create one that you are WILLING to incorporate into your life.
