35kg lighter
By: Wilma Kemp
At the end of January 2019 I weighed 124.9 kg and decided to embark on the keto lifestyle, following Dr. Berg's channel. Originally I was on OMAD but now follow roughly 16/8 eating window. In January of this year I hit the 35kg mark.... In South Africa it is extremely difficult to get organic foodstuffs. I have found a farmer who delivers to my area grass-fed cream, yoghurt, cheese and other dairy products. His farm is roughly 450 km from here. I also travel over 100km to buy organic meat. So, yes, I struggle!! I had a total knee replacement on 3 November 2020 and on Dr. Berg's advice, I fasted just before and after surgery. What a difference that made. Now I'm really struggling to fast because I'm still in pain after the operation. I have so much more energy now and no brain fog. I've already weaned myself off of statins and there is virtually no change in my cholesterol count. Next tablet to go was Wellbutrin, an anti-depressant. By next week I'll be weaned off that as well. Then I still have another anti-depressant and thyroid medication. All of this I'm doing under the supervision of my doctor. I've been taking omega-3 1000mg for about 20 years now and since I've discovered Dr. Berg, I'm also on vit D and ACV with salt, stevia, lemon juice, cinnamon and turmeric every day. I feel great. Don't stop Dr. Berg, your advice is so valuable!! Regards, Wilma Kemp from South Africa
