10 months with Dr. Berg

Story

By: Brian

I am a 45-year-old man, retired from the military after an injury 14 years ago. While in the military, I didn't really eat that well, but the exercise was an everyday thing. Since getting injured in Afghanistan, I stopped exercising but continued to eat poorly.

14 years later,  I gained 70 pounds, my blood pressure skyrocketed, and after a physical 11 months ago we found the following things wrong with me:

1. NAFLD

2. 40 percent enlargement of liver

3. Lipid tests - High ALT - High ALP - Extremely high Triglycerides - Very high Albumin - High LDL and Non-HDL

4. Very High Blood Pressure 195/114 average

My doctor immediately wanted to put me on Statins, blood pressure pills, and a strict diet. He said a lifestyle change was necessary, but like all his other patients figured I would not have the willpower to do it. Enter Dr. Berg; It's easy to listen to Dr. who offers all his advice, for free, on Youtube. Actually, I found him on TikTok first. Dr. Berg's information is easily found with headings on Youtube, like, What to do if you have fatty liver disease, etc., etc. After ten months of watching countless numbers of his videos, I followed the following advice:

1. Intermittent fasting `16/8

2. Apple Cider Vinegar drink (lemon juice and Cranberry juice)

3. Choline, Cod liver, and multivitamin

4. Vege green drink made with cruciferous vegetables

5. 1800 calorie low glycemic food

6. 5 servings of vegetables daily.

7. 40 minutes exercise every other day

Because of Dr. Berg, I am down 35 pounds (first 3 months of diet), Have lowered my average blood pressure to 125/85. Albumin=normal, ALP, ALT, = normal. my cholesterol is still elevated but on a downward trend; and the biggest surprise that impressed my doctor.

My triglycerides dropped from 5.6 to 1.6. I am almost a healthy person again. All thanks to Dr. Berg. I am 10 months into a two-year plan to completely rejuvenate my liver, and it's really no effort at all. It's almost addictive to see the numbers come down. Thanks, Dr. Berg for keeping your thoughts free to people who need the help.
