Total Time: 35 minutes

Serves: 2

Per serving: 300 calories, 45 g protein, 17 g carbohydrates, 31 g fat

Ingredients

Ground Lamb - 3 oz.

Ground Beef  - 3 oz.

Onion - 1/4 cup

Garlic - 4-5 cloves

Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped

Curry Powder - 2 tablespoons

Hummus - 2 tablespoons

Safflower Oil - 1 tablespoon

Directions:

In a food processor, pulse onions and garlic.

In a bowl, mix together lamb, beef, onions, garlic, parsley, curry powder.

Form into logs.  Sprinkle some salt and pepper onto the meat. (You could also make burger or meatball shapes.)

Get a pan hot over medium-high heat.  Once pan is hot, add oil.  Add meat to hot pan.  (Your pan must be hot to get a nice sear on the meat.)

Once the meat is in the hot pan, do not touch it for 1-2 minutes.  This will also help to create a nice sear.

Flip over.  Cook until internal temperature is at least 145 degrees.

Serve with hummus and a big salad!

Kafta is a deliciously seared Mediterranean meat: think beef and lamb meatball!!  Yum!

Here are the macros for the meat mixture (just divide it by the amount of servings that you make):
