Keto Parmesan Mozzarella-Crusted Rib Eye Steak

Ingredients
- 16 oz / 454 g rib eye steak
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- ½ tsp thyme
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ cup / 44g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 oz / 112 g mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C.

Cover a cutting board with plastic wrap. Place steak on top of plastic wrap and cover with another piece of plastic wrap. With a mallet, gently pound steak until it is about ¼ inch thick, flipping halfway through.

Put garlic salt, thyme and pepper into a medium bowl. Stir to combine. Season steak on both sides with seasoning mixture.

Place Parmesan on a plate and dip mozzarella slices in Parmesan. Set cheese aside.

Add oil to a large saute pan and heat on medium-high heat, about 3 minutes.

Sear steak thoroughly on both sides until a crust forms. Add seared steak to a 9 X 13 inch glass baking dish.

Top steak with Paremasan coated mozzarella cheese slices and bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Cook steak until cheese melts and begins to brown, and steak is cooked to your pleasure - less cooking time for medium-rare.
