Thanks to your help, I have lost over 50 pounds since October. It's dramatic because I have been doing dieting unsuccessfully for a very long time and I was amazed how simple and effective this approach is. I'm sure my story is pretty ordinary, but for me personally it was dramatic.

I have not taken metformin since September 2018. My doctor has declared me no longer a diabetic.

"In early July 2018 I had my 3rd kidney in the last 8 years.. The pain was so intense that I told myself that day I had to stop drinking sodas. I was consuming 3 to 5 sodas a day on average. I weighed approximately 230 pounds, not in good health. Taking metformin for pre-diabetes, blood pressure medication, tricor, fenofibrate, etc. Felt miserable. Very bad diet as well. Fast food multiple days a week. I sought information that night about how to home remedy kidney stones. I had heard that lemon water could help. My search led to your YouTube channel regarding lemon water. Started that night drinking 2 tablespoons of organic lemon juice and water nightly. Stopped drinking sodas and drinking much more water. A couple of weeks went by and I felt better, I lost approximately 5 to 8 pounds. With this momentum I viewed additional videos on your channel about carbohydrates, sugar, insulin resistance and the ketogenic diet. I decided to give it a try. My body responded immediately. I started the diet in early August, my initial goal was to get back to 200 pounds. I flew right through that. My new goal was 170 by my 53rd birthday. I succeeded to hit that mark. I was concerned about the holidays, I was sure I would gain back some weight. To my surprise I weighed 155 pounds in early February. I haved maintained between 151 and 153 to this date. Under doctor supervision I no longer take metformin, tricor, lisinopril I only take 25 mg of antenolol for mitral regurgitation. My A1c was 9.4 in December 2017, it is 5.5 now. I have not taken metformin since September 2018. My doctor has declared me no longer a diabetic. "

"May, 2018 I weighed in at 181 lbs; I stand at 5’7. Last May I had a series of strokes in a week; the sign was a problem with my speech. At the same time I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The paperwork given to me by my primary doctor was from the American Diabetes Association. The example menus were ridiculous; the way they suggested I eat was the way I had been eating (minus the 7 cokes a day). I found dr Berg and dr fung on YouTube. My problem started with a crappy diet and I realized it needed to be fixed with diet. I lost 46 lbs in less than 5 months. Everyone was saying I was too thin (nobody ever told me that in my life!). I gained back approximately 8-10 lbs back slowly over the last 5-6 months. I was on metformin, blood pressure meds, and cholesterol meds. I went from A1C 8.4 to 5.9; I’m off metformin for 6 months. Blood pressure has stabilized and I’m no longer taking those meds. I take 1/4th of the original cholesterol meds now; however, I don’t believe I need it at all; triglycerides went from 325 to between 40-77. My good and bad cholesterol are good also. The Keto diet makes sense to me; it really works. I cheat here and there but I’ve managed to keep my weight between 141-146lbs. My sugar is better than normal people now, but in the mornings it can run a little high for fasting mode 120-135., but 2 hours after I eat, it’s strange but my sugar goes down to 105-115 and it doesn’t matter what I eat, even a slice of pizza with the occasional coke. One question I have is about “liver dump”. I was fasting for a day when about 5:00pm I checked my sugar and it was extremely high (180s). My sugar hadn’t been that high in fasting mode ever. I looked it up online and it gave me info on liver dump. Can you explain this more? Anyway, I’ll send pix."

It was the end of May (2018) that I realized I couldn't fit in any of my summer clothes, and in 4 months I was turning 50. It was time to do something different. Previously I'd done the low calorie/low fat diets, with little results. This Keto thing I kept hearing about sounded interesting. I started my research, with your channel being one of my go-to's for a lot of great info. I saw results within 2 weeks, and was sold. It's now been a year, and I have to say, Keto has been the easiest, and provided the most results, of any diet I've tried in the past. I'm just over 5' 7", and started this journey at just over 175 lbs. Over this past year I've dropped 40 lbs, starting out my 50's healthier than I've been in years. Now that I've gotten the fat off, I may focus on putting back on a few pounds of healthy weight. Thanks for providing such great information!

Hey guys. Just wanted to share with anyone feeling discouraged or unmotivated. Keto works you just have to find what works for you. I stall with dairy, nuts or keto treats. I mainly eat leafy greens and meat. Hope I have inspired someone today. This is 113lbs difference.

I am 56 years old, in menopause, with a thyroid condition. Last summer (2018) I was 209 lbs, my BMI was 35 and my waist was 42”. I started Dr. Berg’s plan in April 2019 and today I am 151 lbs, 25 BMI with a 34” waist. I went from a tight size 16 to a loose 10 in pants and from a XXL dress size to a small. My chest went from a 42DD to a 38D. I had high blood pressure and other health issues of which today I have completely cleared up all of them.
