Weight loss with intermitted fasting -easy peacy!

I used to be an amateur competitive athlete in Triathlon and martial arts. I have studied nutrition and taught fitness classes and was a personal trainer. However, when I reached 50, the medical profession diagnosed me with an overactive thyroid and gave me radiotherapy and they destroyed my thyroid completely so that my metabolism is greatly affected. This also propelled me into a world of research on many different topics including health and disease. Much of what we are socially conditioned with is a lie. However, due to my healthy background, I was able to keep the weight off with extremely hard work.

I also discovered a more natural treatment for my thyroid than the one the doctor was recommending me, but over time and with a hectic lifestyle, I let my weight slip. I am six feet tall and ballooned up to 22-23 stone! (322 pounds). I was looking into the Keto lifestyle when I came across Dr. Berg's amazing informative youtube channel. It so inspired me into action, I thought I was the last person in the world who would be able to fast as I loved my food and the thought of going without it for even half a day worried me greatly.

However, I knew I had to do something drastic for my health and wellbeing. I have always had a resilient and determined core, I had let that subdue into the depths of my soul for a few years, I had to reignite it. I am 63 years of age on October 13th, 2001 I reignited my determination and decided to start a Keto lifestyle and intermitted fasting, which was in conjunction with some daily cycling and using my rebounder 40 minutes a day, for the last month I have added some weight training. I was so determined to exceed that I bought some clothes that were the sizes I used to wear when I was fit and healthy. foolish? Maybe, but it was part of my visualizing process. I work best with a target or a goal to achieve, once that is set my determination usually gets me there. I made a pledge to myself to get back to my ideal weight by the time I was 64 in May 2022. At the time of writing it is January 18th, 2022, Three months later I weigh just under 17 stone (238 pounds). So in three months, I have lost 84 pounds.

I see no obstacles to prevent me from losing another two or three stones by April well on track to attain my goal before I am 64 in May. Dr. Berg, I can't thank you enough for your commitment to people's health and well-being your channel is so inspirational and informative, I am sure you have helped and influenced millions of people like me. What a wonderful human being you are;-))))
