Sundara Vadivel B|Weight loss success
By: Sundara Vadivel B
Hello Dr, I live in Bangalore, India. I was overweight and I'm 44 years old (male). I started Keto 4 months ago after started watching your videos which inspired me a lot to reduce weight through a change of lifestyle rather than just exercises and workouts. One of my friends shared your YouTube video link. I slowly got addicted and interested in knowing Keto and body physiology and its mechanism. Initially, I started reducing carbs intake which eventually showed better results within a few weeks and I lost almost 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Later, I started the LCHF diet and started intermittent fasting by avoiding breakfast and snacks. I continue to stay with this pattern for the last 3 months and now I have reduced 20 pounds. I'm proud to see my visceral fat is drastically reduced and my waist looks in good shape.
I start my day with bulletproof coffee. Then for lunch, I take lots of veggies and a small quantity of rice. And for dinner, I have salad containing Brocolli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Mushroom, Lettuce, and a few carrots. I also have 3 eggs in form of a bullseye. I have ACV with lemon once or twice a day without fail. I also have a small quantity of high-fat milk with some turmeric powder and crushed peppercorns before going to bed. My kitchen will always have items like MCT oil, Butter, Ghee, Almond milk, Wheatgrass powder, Avocado, Nutritional yeast, Extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed coconut, and sesame oils. I use them on a routine basis by consuming each item at least once in a few days on rotation. I have a cheat day once in a week where I do see a slight increase in weight in the next 2 days, but as you said, I will return to Keto soon easily having longer fasting time and more ACV, and will be back to my reduced weight. Dr, you are my lifesaver as I used to be carb dependent my entire life and have not known the benefits of the IF and LCHF diet all these days.
I'm happy now that I found the right lifestyle to improvise my health. I feel better now not only with weight loss but also seeing improved cognitive function and ability to focus and concentrate more on my work. I can now control stress after watching your videos on the adverse effects of cortisol. I sleep better now. I have reached a plateau now and am happy with my current weight and will continue to follow my current lifestyle throughout my remaining life. I wanted to start with long walks which I used to do when I started with Keto which I stopped for the last 2 months due to unavailability of time and other personal commitments. You are my hero and know you rescued many from high carb foods. Please continue with your good deed and request to post more videos. Big thanks!! Regards, Sundara Vadivel B
