Sleep and Stress are overrated

Story

By: Douglas Wayne Denton

60 years old male. One year pre-covid, I was 30lbs heavier than now. Weighing in at 206 and just put medicine to lower my high blood pressure. Blood pressure is high 150s over the upper 90s. Also told I'm borderline pre-diabetic. The high blood pressure medicine made me feel worse so I quit that pretty quick. Started looking around for something else. Found Dr. Berg, Dr. Ekberg, and Dr. Mandell's videos on YouTube. Each spoke to me clearly in their own ways. Fast forward to today no sugar no grains, blood pressure is 121 over 74 which is pretty standard for my daily measurement. My A1C is down to 4.8. Cholesterol is180. Everything measured typically through bloodwork was within normal range. During this period we found out my wife has stage 4 colon cancer and breast cancer. For six months my house was like a MASH unit building body wraps twice daily, then COVID hit and I am extremely stressed every day. I could find enough supplies and food without bringing a virus back that would kill her. So yeah, extreme stress during this time and low sleep levels. They clearly have little impact on things that get measured during routine bloodwork.
