Seam Ahmed's Story
By: Seam Ahmed
Seam Ahmed from Bangladesh was 309 pounds (140 kg) and lived a life he described as “physically, mentally, and socially debilitating.”
“Despising my state of living, I started losing weight January 2019,” he said. “I was severely addicted to sugar and carbs and had a very difficult time.”
Before he started keto and intermittent fasting, Ahmed ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacked until he went to sleep. It wasn’t until he tracked his weekly eating habits that he realized he ate from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
“I had enough of being sick and tired so I started one meal a day and keto,” said Ahmed.
At the start, he said it was difficult to overcome cravings since it was hard to admit he was a food addict.
“I was in denial of my food habits,” he said. “Believe it or not, it does not go away.”
In ten months, Ahmed went from 309 pounds to 187 pounds (85 kg) but he said that the weight loss is only one of the benefits and not even his favorite one.
“[The best part is] clear thinking, no more feeling depressed, so much energy! And sleeping like a teenager again — all are what keeps me motivated,” he said. “[The] coolest part [is] learning that if you fast, so many beneficial processes take place inside your body.”
To anyone reading his story, Ahmed had this to say: “Watch all Dr.Berg's videos, apply it to your life, and you will lose weight and feel better. If you want it, get it. Make the change for your partner, kids, family, [and] YOU. Remember, you have one life, live it as the best version of yourself. Don’t live in a carb/sugar-loaded haze anymore.”
