My Defluffification

Story

By: Timothy Suhr

Starting in April of 2019 at 280 lbs and with a 38-in waist, feeling heavy and bloated, I felt the need for change. Outfitting myself with the goal to return to my Marine corps weight of 180 lbs, I started with a Fitbit, their scale, and app and soon thereafter, I discovered the ketogenic lifestyle. By October 30th of 2020, I reached my goal. I have moved into a maintenance program and this is harder than most might think. Because keto or at least low carb has kept me satiated most of the time. Earlier this year, I've invested in a glucose ketone blood monitoring system. And have learned a lot about the balance between ketone level and glucose level. Courtesy of Dr. Boz. I do want to thank Dr. Berg, Dr. Boz, and several other YouTube channels for helping me understand the differences between SAD and other diets and Keto. Fora Care also monitors uric acid and total cholesterol which I monitor weekly. Glucose and ketones are monitored twice a day. And I look forward to my next annual physical sharing my data with my family doctor. I have found less stress on my knees hips and back. I have more energy for family and friends. Many at work have made particular note of how much better I look as a result of the weight loss.
