Keto and endometriosis
By: Rania Elsherif
My name is Rania Elsherif, I am 43, I have had endometriosis for 20 years now. So in addition to severe cramps which I am used to by now, I have very heavy bleeding which my GYN couldn't do or give me anything for it. started to gain weight around my belly about 7 years ago. I am 5.5 tall I was 138 pounds and reached 168 pounds I tried to diet a few times but never stick to a diet for long because I use to feel hungry all the time.
Even when I started my job as a mail courier walking for 10 hours, it didn't make me lose 1 pound. I love rice, pasta, bread, and all the Egyptian food I eat all day. I don't love chocolate and cookies much but I drink sugary drinks all day.
One day I came across an Egyptian doctor called Dr. Waad talking about the keto diet and she explained more about insulin resistance which I think I have since my mother and father are diabetic. Dr. Waad mentioned Dr. Berg ♥️ who I subscribed to his channel and I watch his videos every day now.
I started the keto diet for only a month now and lost about 10 pounds so far but what surprised me is when I got my period after being on the keto diet for only 22 days it's 50 percent less than it used to be. For the very first time in years, I can work out or go anywhere on my first and second day of the period. Keto is not only to lose weight but to get healthy!
