"Hi there! I’ve had great success with intermittent fasting and keto. 35lbs and 3 dress sizes down so far. I made the change to IF/Keto in July 2018 at the urging of my brother who was following Dr.Berg’s plan and I am still going strong. THANK YOU, DR. BERG!!! Prior to making this change, I was on a mostly paleo diet, as I had previously experienced huge weight loss on the paleo diet. However, after a second pregnancy and some serious life trauma, paleo just wasn’t working anymore. My cortisol was high. My energy was low. I struggled with severe depression, anxiety and excess belly fat. At first, I only skipped breakfast. At around two months into IF/Keto, I went down to one meal a day with occasional 48hr fasts. At that point, I was practicing martial arts and didn’t have much energy to do anything beyond that. Even at two months in, the scale was barely budging and the inches were hanging on. I wanted to give up, but remembered that Dr. Berg explained that our bodies must heal in order to see weight loss. At about three months in, not only did I start seeing dramatic results physically, I began feeling healthier and more energetic. I was able to increase my exercise and began running and lifting weights. My sleep quality also increased. That one meal a day turned out to be my sweet spot of success! Though not perfect, the depression and anxiety have definitely decreased and my quality of life has dramatically increased. As you can see, cortisol levels are definitely down and that excess belly fat is melting away! Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more information.
