I have lost 90 lbs with keto and have been at my goal weight for 2 years now, keto for 5 years. If you find this post helpful like and leave a comment below After spending thousands of hours learning and YEARS experimenting for myself here is what I have discovered. I have been obese since I was 13 and have tried dozens of tries to take the weight off with various diets. Keto has been the only thing that was worked for me long-term, here are the takeaways.

1. Diets will always fail, you need to make your way of eating a lifestyle.

2. It’s possible to not only stall but to GAIN weight on keto simply by making a couple of common mistakes and listening to bad advice.

3. Focus on eating meats and above-ground vegetables using oils sparingly and only for cooking and NOT adding them to coffee.

4. The most common things that stall weight loss on keto are Fatty Coffees and Fat bombs along with nut flours and cheese. I know these are all common keto favorites but also why do most people slow or stall after the initial 10-20 lbs of water weight loss.

5. Keto is a powerful weight-loss tool for several reasons, it lowers Fat Storing Hormone and has a powerful appetite suppressant effect allowing us to tap into body fat more easily without hunger. We very naturally eat less and can fast longer each day also very naturally.

6. Intermittent Fasting is another great tool and can be made simple by doing 2 meals a day 4-6 hours apart. This isn’t hard on keto once you start getting fat adapted.

7. You don’t usually have to count calories or track macros when sticking to real Whole Foods but in the end calories still matter and we can still store fat without high Fat Storing Hormone. This happens with “ASP” (acylation stimulating protein) in case you want to look it up. I used to believe that eating fat couldn’t make you fat and now realize that it’s possible to overdo it even with fat and quite common in the keto community. In the end, focus on real foods, don’t worry about calories in the beginning, and be honest with YOURSELF and your results. Start with a plan that gets adequate protein and restricts carbs aggressively, then slowly over time scale back dietary fat some and watch your body fat disappear. This method works so well that it has allowed me to help thousands of people lose tens of thousands of pounds. (Not exaggerating) Keto on! If you have any questions ask them in the comments!
