I decimated my liver

I had a voracious sweet tooth and worked in a bakery. I often brought home very sugary foods, and they rarely lasted more than a couple of days. I had been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 years, but I ate anything.

Shortly after leaving the bakery, I went and stayed at a friend's house for about a month. The first three weeks had a wedding, the friend's birthday, then mine. Thus, I ate a slice of cake a day for three weeks straight. Shortly after that, I developed horrendous arrhythmias, which drastically cut down my sleep. My body was rapidly discharging fluids by the hour and I realized how big my bladder truly was. I felt like I was turning into a big-eyed goldfish, and my neck was on fire.

Finally, one day I drove myself to the hospital while having a panic attack. They ran blood tests only to tell me nothing was wrong. So I went about the next few days like I was fine, the symptoms slowly subsided, and I assumed I was better. Till the last meal out before I went home, filled with fried food, alcohol, and sweets. Sure enough, the symptoms were back. There's something wrong with me, so down the internet rabbit hole, I go for a fix. I figure it's some type of pre-diabetes, so I look for ways to fix it. Eventually, I discover Dr. Berg's channel, each video adding a piece to my dietary puzzle, till I find the video explaining liver damage.

8/24/21 is the day I figured out I had seriously messed up my liver, and I needed to make a change fast. Since that day, I have been doing my best to follow keto/IF, and it has been fantastic so far. I lost 30lbs of belly fat in about a month. My mood and energy is way better, and my feet aren't swelling so much. I've been doing calisthenics regularly, and I'm optimistic about my thirties.
