I presently maintain this weight with little effort
By: Joseph Claussen
I changed my diet and lifestyle about 3 years ago to a Ketogenic diet for the cognitive benefits and prevention of cognitive decline. My father suffered from early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 65 and recently succumbed to the disease. It not only robbed him of his golden years but also my mother of hers and my children of a beautiful grandfather. I have lived a very active lifestyle but was consuming the SAD. In my mid-forties, I was overweight with a "dad bod" and growing spare tire around my midsection. Truly on my way to being pre-diabetic. After the initial adjustment period, my cognition improved and the excess weight just flew off. I went from 210lbs to 176lbs in a matter of months. I presently maintain this weight with little effort.
