Getting healthy FIRST with Keto/Intermittent Fasting/HIIT/Recovery

At the end of July 2021, I had a significant personal relationship loss that made me evaluate myself on many levels. One of the first things I realized and wanted to fix was my unhealthy lifestyle. Excessive and unhealthy eating in addition to consuming lots of alcohol. I decided to do some self-study in fixing all of these issues.

I look into Youtube and came across Dr. Berg. One of the first things I learned from Dr. Berg was to get healthy FIRST and everything else follows closely behind. On July 26, 2021, I weighed in at 192 lbs. For reference, I am a 5-foot 9-inch tall male. I started a keto diet coupled with IF Friday-Sun and HIIT 4 days a week with jogging the other 3 days.

I immediately saw a weight loss of 10 lbs two weeks into the regimen. At week 3 through more self-study with Dr. Berg's videos, I realized I was overtraining and not eating enough vegetables. I modified it to 2 days HIIT and 2 days jogging with rest days in between. I dropped another 10 lbs again in 2 weeks which put me at 172 lbs in 1 month. I plateaued from 165-172 lbs for the next month.

During month #3, I further cut down on my sugar and carb intake and got much more sleep. I was sleeping 5-6 hours a night which I changed to 8 hours - again recovery recommendations from Dr. Berg.

Fast forward to November 1st, 2021 after these changes I am down to my goal of 155 lbs! I am much much healthier, my annual physical results are in and my doctor is astonished at the changes in my blood work. 1 year ago I had a CHOLESTEROL TOTAL of 246 mg/dL, today it is 183 mg/dL. TRIGLYCERIDES were 240 mg/dL, today 103 mg/dL. LDL-CHOLESTEROL 160 mg/dL, today 109 mg/dL. NON HDL CHOLESTEROL 201 mg/dL, today 129 mg/dL. AST 41 U/L, today 19 U/L. ALT 85 U/L, today 17 U/L. All these numbers are documented. There is no way I would have ever dropped 37 lbs in 3 months and got as HEALTHY as I am without Dr. Berg's expert advice.
