I started in bodybuilding at 53. But after three years and menopause, it became harder to keep the weight off and I was starving on the traditional bodybuilding diet. My trainer had me eat six times a day and hardly any fat at all. You start out with a lot of carbs and then cut your carbs to almost nothing just before your show. I felt unhealthy. I had no energy. And I knew this was not right, he had me down till like 900,000 cal a day. I did some research and decided to go keto. I have never felt healthier. I have energy. I am able to maintain my weight. And most importantly I can eat 2000 cal a day to maintain and if I want to cut I only go down to 1500 maybe 1200 cal but it’s still more then I got on the traditional Bodybuilding .
