A Lifetime in Progress

Dear Dr. Berg,
To begin, thank you for presenting complex information in a truly accessible format. The way you make the information so much easier to remember and assimilate into my own situation. I realize the amount of effort required to translate this information to lay terms and appreciate the commitment of you, your wife, and your team to offering accurate information — and encouragement.
Excessive weight appeared early for me, before age 10. As expected, weight loss programs began at that time, also. All had temporary success. The weight returned. Other chronic health issues appeared. Now at 69 and about three months ago, I discovered Healthy Keto + IF on my home YouTube feed. I believe the missing key in past eating plans to be addressing insulin resistance.
My present status: weight is slowly reducing (my preferred pace), two meals per day, 15 hours IF, less than 20 carbs per day.
My goal: increasing the hours of IF until the two meals merge and maintaining the one meal per day frequency. When the insulin resistance subsides, I will slowly add back carefully chosen foods.
Most interesting discovery to date: how effortless the loss of the cravings as I eliminate problematic foods.
Most helpful tip: MCT oil when needed to hold the fast.
With gratitude,
Stephanie
