Hi, my name is Shweta, I am a 43-year old mom to two kids a teen and an 8-year-old. I live in Texas. A coworker suggested I try keto again.. having known I failed miserably in the past. I was always on a lighter side of the weighing scale at 5 feet 3 inches tall I weighed 110pounds in my late 20’s. I never had any health issues. I gained and lost weight over the years with two pregnancies and two C-sections. I was able to get back at 125 pounds in 2016 and kind of stayed there for a while until I started running half marathons, doing HIIT workouts 5-6 x week, and sleeping less in order to fit gym in uth FT work and kids.

By the start of 2021, I weighed 142 pounds while I was working out and eating what I thought was mindful eating. Like salads, soups but my main staple was the carb. I ate Indian vegetarian diet mostly relying on chapati, rice, lentils, and veggies. I started keto start of April 2021, I lost 22 pounds in first 3 months of the clean keto diet. Initially, I fasted 14-16 sometimes 18 hours but I stalled quite a bit. So I stopped IF all days and started doing it few times a week mostly 16 hours IF and added a 21-48 hour fast once a month.

For me, I had to reduce my exercise intensity and frequency. Working out 2-3 times a week, doing more long walks, and added Pilates to my routine too. I made mistakes by not doing too much IF, too many keto-friendly snacks, not logging my food, not counting portions, not sleeping enough! Clean keto works, educate and learn. Sleep more Exercise less intense, It’s all about balancing your cortisol or stress hormones.
