Lost 50 pounds, still Obese by 15.

Have tried to lose weight by eating “healthy” for 25 years. Ratchet down, then fail over and over. Then recently went to high fiber vegetable and fruit diet. Lost a little. Then Dr. Berg popped up on recommendations on YouTube. Out of interest, I researched my med files, at my worst I was 250. I am now 197. When you do ketosis and fasting you live off of the fat in your body. This will freak out your GP, your cholesterol numbers will go bonkers. They do not understand this. I had a physical where I had told the Doctor I was fasting for the last four days. The guy wasn’t listening to me. When he sent me to get the blood test he ran down to the hospital to stop me and tell me that I had to fast 12 hours before the test. I said, “didn’t we just go through this?” My numbers were nutso high. They made me come in for an emergency meeting to discuss the numbers. At this meeting, I asked him..."What if I bought fatty steaks and only ate the fat off of them for an extended time? What would that do to my numbers?” He said “OMG! You're not doing that, are you?” This guy is at the Cleveland Clinic and is an internal doc. He had no idea what I was doing. But you can see my weight loss in my charts. Rapid and steady decline. Your brain function feels different as well. As does your pain. You just feel younger. Zero carbs and high quality fat intake are key. But also once a week fasting at random places on the calendar. Dr. Berg's methods are effective and easy to repeat if you get away from the carbs. The carbs cause pain. Both hunger and inflammatory. Break the addiction.
