Joe Burton had no problem working out and getting exercise. But he came to a point in his life when he wasn’t seeing the usual results from the workouts. That’s when he began searching for different diets that might lead him on his way to truly balanced health.
Feeling like his fitness plateau coincided with getting older, Burton was looking for something to reinvigorate him and allow him to regain some youthfulness. This is a goal he feels he has achieved through keto.
When he came across Dr. Berg’s videos on YouTube, he was hooked right away. “The biggest concepts that grasped my attention were nutritional yeast, trace minerals, and apple cider vinegar,” said Burton. He learned to really stick to Dr. Berg’s tips and it’s paid off.
The hardest part for Burton was giving up sweets and restraining himself from indulging in certain foods. But seeing the results—and receiving countless compliments—kept him going and encouraged him not to give up.
With the addition of a little help from loved ones, those obstacles didn’t stand a chance. “My wife Megan was one of my biggest supporters throughout my journey,” Burton said. “She was always the one pushing me and motivating me to keep going when I wanted to give up.”
Since finding keto and committing to the lifestyle, Burton has lost 25 pounds (11 kg). When he was asked how he feels now compared to before, he replied with one word: amazing!
“Trust the process that Dr. Berg gives and make sure that you plan and keep up with your diet,” advises Burton. “It will all be worth it in the end.”
