From failing at life, to living life and dr berg

I started my ketones journey when dopamine fasting whatever that is started becoming popular. I of course annoy my significant other who claims she is 21 and does not want to care about being healthy. Whatever she can do her however she wants. I started with some simple 24 fasts. I used to do them whenever my body wasn’t feeling well, I had just assumed my body needed time to detox. This always felt off I knew I was missing something. I knew that I would feel like shit even if I had a super “healthy” meal. What I did not realize was that carbs and heavily processed foods were the issues. While I’ve had a good source of nutrients my whole life “balanced” diet. Processed foods and chemicals take a lot of resources to break down and consume. Once I found dr berg I started with 24 hours fasts regularly and I cut out sugar. Then I moved to low carb. This has been a huge change for me. Massive energy and brain function improvements. Then I moved to dr bergs healthy keto. I read food labels and seek out foods without additives. I’ve been on keto with cheat days for about 8 months. I wish I didn’t have to cheat but the people in my life all love carbs and every so often to avoid awkward interactions I just eat their food. Of course I immediately feel like shit afterwards and for atleast 24 hours. My cells are getting pretty close to fat adapted and I can make it through my physically labor intensive job work week fairly well. The hardest part about keto is being around people who eat carbs and refuse to understand why you can’t eat food that provides you the nutritional equivalent of black tar. I recommend healthy keto and IF to anyone who is having trouble getting their life together. Also nutritional yeast. Everyone rags on me about my gross fake cheese but I swear by this stuff.
