Ketogenic Spaghetti

This teaches you how to add flavor to low-carb Shirataki Noodles.  The entire package of "noodles" has 2g net carbs and 20 calories.  Add some spaghetti sauce on top of these noodles and you will NEVER miss regular carb-loaded spaghetti.  

Ketogenic Spaghetti

TOTAL TIME: 20 mins

SERVES: 1

INGREDIENTS:

Ground Beef - 3-6 oz

Tomato Sauce - 1/2 cup, low carb (we used this)

Safflower Oil - 1 tablespoon

Shirataki "Spaghetti" Noodles - 1 bag - (we used this)

Onion - 1/4 medium

Butter - 1 tablespoon

Parsley - for garnish

Parmesan Cheese - for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

For Spaghetti Sauce:

Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil to a pot, cook ground beef.   Add low carb spaghetti sauce.  You could add some garlic and onions, if your macros allow!

For Noodles:

Drain noodles.

In a pan, add 1/2 tablespoon of oil and onions.  Cook on medium-low heat for 5 minutes.

Add noodles, turn up heat to medium-high.

Saute noodles for 5-7 minutes.  Keep moving them around.  This is going to cook the onion flavor into the noodles.  Salt heavily.

Remove from heat.   Add butter.  Stir until melted and mixed completely.

Add spaghetti sauce.  Garnish with cheese and parsley!

 Serve with a big salad!
